![]() ![]() At 4K resolution with medium settings, the game ran smoothly at an average of 75 frames per second with FSR set to the Balanced preset. The use of AMD FSR helped mitigate this to some extent. Without NVIDIA DLSS support, maintaining decent performance while increasing the resolution was more challenging, especially due to the limited VRAM on the system used for testing (i7-10700 CPU, 16GB RAM, RTX 3070 GPU). However, there are occasional stutters during traversal and cutscenes, which can be frustrating. This is partly due to shaders caching before the game starts and the smaller size of the game’s maps. ![]() Performance is generally solid, with minimal stuttering issues. It is hoped that Dead Island 2 will also receive similar support in the future.ĭespite the lack of native DLSS 2 support, Dead Island 2 still runs well overall. PotatoOfDoom had previously achieved the same result with SEGA’s game, Judgment, which eventually received native DLSS support. The mod is available for download on Nexus Mods and can be easily installed by extracting the files into the same folder as the DeadIsland-Win64-Shipping.exe file. However, modder PotatoOfDoom has created a mod that fixes this issue. Dead Island 2, a popular PC game, only supports AMD FSR 2 and does not have native NVIDIA DLSS 2 support. ![]()
